The Great Battle at Kurukshetra is on full swing. All the Royal Gentry is at the battlefield. The charioteer Sanjay is narrating the intricate details of the War in his live commentary to the blind King Dhritarashtra. Inside the Hastinapur palace Queen Mother Gandhari , wife of Vidoor, Princess Duhshala, and the entire royal womenfolk anxiously await news of the ongoing battle.They order Sanjay to divulge the updates of the War. Sanjay then reveals through his commentary the fierce consequences , the cruelties involved and the fateful impact of the War..
That war is ultimately a futile exercise that causes immense loss of innocent lives and property is the main theme of the play Dibyadrishti.The Messenger's Tale revolves around the universal truth that war brings no good to anyone in this world and is best avoided.
