The play Urubhangam is a landmark in the history of theatre of the country.
Based on play by the same name, the play actually is a 6 hour long concised Mahabharat. This is perhaps for the first time in the theatre history of the country that people have gathered in numbers to see the play overnight.
Manish Mitra had worked on different texts of Mahabharata, the fictions and novels, verses and also the traditional and oral and folk theatres existing in different parts of the country centering around the Mahabharata.
