স্যামুয়েল বেকেট-এর ‘ওয়েটিং ফর গোডো’ অবলম্বনে

​গদাইবাবু আসছেন 

​দুই ভবঘুরে ভোলা আর আশু বসে আছে শহরতলীর এক ঠেকে। ওদের হাল খুব খারাপ। চাল-চুলো নেই, ঠিকমত খাবারও মেলে না। তবু ওরা অপেক্ষা করে। কে এক গদাই নাকি আসবে। এলে ওদের কি হবে ওরা জানেনা। তবু ওদের নাকি থাকতেই হবে । এক আজব জুটি আসে  —পুজো আর লুকা। তাদের নানা রঙ-তামাশা শেষ হতে হতে আঁধার নামে। একটা বাচ্চা ছেলে এসে বলে, গদাই কাল আসবে। ওরা বসে থাকে।

​আগামীকাল আসে। গদাই আসেনা।

ভোলা আর আশু বসে থাকে।

Godaibabu Ashchhen

(Godaibabu is coming)

​Two vagabonds Bhola and Ashu are waiting for someone called Godai. It is the suburbs of a city. The two tramps are in poor shape. No place to live in, no proper clothes to wear. Yet waiting is their destiny. A strange pair—Pujo and Luka—make a bizarre appearance. As they leave, it is darkness. A little boy comes to inform that Godai will come tomorrow.

​There is a to-morrow surely, but no Godai.

Bhola and Ashu keep waiting.
